Wattstopper Revit (BIM) Files

WattStopper's new BIM Objects help streamline building design and construction
WattStopper introduces new BIM (Business Information Modeling) objects for its innovative lighting control products. BIM is a powerful tool that uses three-dimensional, real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in building design and construction. BIM is at the heart of integrated project delivery (IPD), intended to bring the full range of stakeholders (e.g., architects, engineers, contractors, building product manufacturers, and owners) together prior to construction, allowing broad collaboration at an early stage as well as a high level of shared expertise. By providing data visually, it makes complex structures and data easily accessible to wide range of audiences.
While BIM has great value in new construction, it is equally useful in post-construction activities. For instance, the dynamic, three-dimensional model offers a wealth of information for facility managers, including precise information about building systems. This can improve energy analysis capabilities, streamline new tenant buildouts, and simplify regular preventive maintenance tasks.
The new WattStopper BIM Objects (also known as Revit families) are available for a majority of Digital Lighting Management (DLM) products and popular wall switch occupancy sensor models.
The library of BIM Objects are available free of charge on our website at: http://www.wattstopper.com/products/bim-resources.html
