Luminaire Lighting, Vandal Resistant Lighting

I did a demonstration for an engineer friend today and he volunteered to try to damage my wall sconce from Luminaire Lighting.  The lamps broke but the fixture looked fine.  Luminaire has a lifetime warranty against vandalism AND against yellowing of the lens.  Very nice and video and photo evidence is below.

B-K Lighting Earns More Lighting Facts Labels

The U.S. Department of Energy is giving the 'thumbs up' on 41 new Lighting Facts labels for B-K Lighting solid-state products including the Mini Micro™ Floodlight, Mini Micro™ Pathlight, Mini Micro™ Pendant, Chart Star™ and Yacht Star™.

Each Lighting Facts label summarizes a fixture’s solid-state performance data in five areas — lumens, efficacy, watts, correlated color temperature (CCT), and color rendering index (CRI)- as measured by the industry standard for testing photometric performance, IES LM-79-2008.

Once approved, each registered product is issued a Lighting Facts label.

Just like nutritional labels issued for food products, Lighting Facts labels give lighting professionals and designers direct access to information and facts needed to review performance claims.

Since becoming a partner in 2009, B-K Lighting has registered close to 200 products with the D.O.E. SSL Quality Advocates Program and is ranked as one of the top manufacturers worldwide.
That number will continue to grow as additional products are approved.
